Why students need to explore conferences while studying

Many students do not know the benefits of travelling for international conferences during their studies. In my time as an undergrad, I did not explore the freedom of travel available to me, thus missing out on the rich cultural experience that I could have gotten through travelling. During my Masters degree in China, I decided to apply to the St. Gallen symposium in Switzerland, and my essay was selected among the top submissions and I was invited to St. Gallen University, fully sponsored.

Attending international conferences has really helped me in my career, placing me ahead of other candidates during job interviews and also broadening my scope. Since 2014, I have been to several dozen conferences fully sponsored and I have not had to pay for these events. Many students wonder if it were possible for one to travel to different countries of the world, without having to pay for same. I have proven this several times over by visiting over seven (7) different countries, fully funded.

In this post, I will be providing links to websites where you can get these conferences

  1. http://www.opportunitydesk.org/
  2. https://www.alphagamma.eu/

3. https://www.opportunitiesforafricans.com/category/scholarships/

4. http://internationalcareersfestival.org/

The value that attending international conferences add to your career development cannot be overemphasised, thus it is advisable to try applying as soon as you can. You can also apply to conferences outside your study area, as most of the fully-funded opportunities I have personally participated in are in the business field (whilst being an engineer).

Should you need help with applying to an international conference or event, email us at contact@xblimited.com and one of our advisors will be happy to help you out.
